Create a connection between your Jira and Varolio accounts

To use the Jira Plugin, users must first obtain an API key. Follow these steps to receive your API key:

Step 1

Log in to your Jira account.

Step 2

Click on your profile avatar in the top right corner and select "Manage account" or "Account settings."

Step 3

In the tab bar, click on "Security."

Step 4

Scroll down to the "API token" section and click on "Create and manage API tokens."

Step 5

Click on the "Create API token" button, give your token a descriptive name and press "Create".

Step 6

Copy the generated API token.

Step 7

In Varolio, in Jira's connection form, paste the api token, insert your email(the one assigned to your Jira account), and your Jira's domain name (without the https://), and complete the connection.

Step 8

Choose a name for the connection, paste the copied API key into the designated API Token field, provide your Jira account's email address and domain name in the designated fields, and press the "Connect" button.
