Step 3: Configure the First Node

Once you have clicked the 'Add Automations' button, you will see an empty node to configure. This node should be a trigger, cron, or manual node, depending on your specific requirements. Decide which integration and action (or cron/manual node) should initiate your automation, and follow the on-screen instructions to configure the node.

Step 4: Add More Nodes

Now that your first node is configured, you can continue adding more nodes to your automation. Double-click on the connector part of the right-most node to create a new node that connects to the automation. Alternatively, right-click on an empty canvas space and select 'create new node', and connect it to the right-most node by dragging and dropping. Then select the desired node type and action from the available options. Continue this process until you have built your desired automation.

Step 5: Test the Automation

After you have built your automation, it's essential to test it to ensure it functions as expected. You can test each node separately (see the nodes documentations) or test the entire automation. To do this, click the 'Test' button of the latest node in the chain. If any errors occur during testing, consult the troubleshooting page for guidance on resolving the issue.

Step 6: Save and Edit Later

Varolio automatically saves your progress while creating a automation. You can leave the automation editor and return at a later time to continue working on your automation. To edit a automation, simply click on it in the folder view, and the editor will load the current configuration.
